Summer 2017: This term, Red Kites are learning all about themselves in our topic 'Wonderful Me!' We will exploring our local area, learning about how our bodies work, and finding out how life in Glapthorn has changed over the past two hundred years! Find out more here.
During July last year, Red Kites vistied the church bells at Cotterstock which had been taken down for refurbishment; the bells have now been returned to Cotterstock Church, retuned and ready to be put back up in the tower. The church has also been donated a new church bell in memory of a lady called Rita, who had done a great deal for the village and community. The children have been back to Cotterstock Church to look at the refurbished bells and to watch a video of the new bell being made at the bell foundry.
Red Kites adventured to Ilam Hall in the Peak District for their residential trip with Nassington Primary School. During their trip, they were taught many theatrical techniques. They performed scenes from Shakespeare's plays such as Macbeth, The Tempest and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Red Kites visited Coventry Transport Museum. The children took part in a workshop before looking around the museum at the old and new transport.

Red Kites took part in a fantastic residential visit to Wye Valley with Nassington Primary school. We learned how to be spies; code breaking and working in teams! Well done to all the children and staff on a very successful visit!
Red Kites enjoyed a fantastic day at the TATA Corby Triathlon event. Well done team!
Red Kites are going back in time in their Time Machine to see how our ancestors used to live. They had a sparkling start to the topic by visiting Forest School and learning whittling, den making and fire making!
They visited Flag Fen at the end of January to help their understanding of what life was like 3500 years ago!
Red Kites had a fantastic time at the Oundle festival of literature. Authors Philip Reeve and Sarah McIntyre were really entertaining!
